Google offers free GSuite Subscriptions for registered Non-Profits in Canada through its Google for Non-Profits program.
GSuite is effectively Google's suite of public tools customized on a Business/Non-Profit level. Included is the power of a very robust platform including GMail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Google Groups set up with businesses in mind. Email addresses and domain names remain exactly as is.
If you have any concerns regarding this please be assured of the following:
- The service is more stable and reliable, you will probably never have to call us again for email account authentication issues. If you do need a call, the call should not last more than 10 minutes as opposed to the hours that have been taking up in the past.
- Your email addresses won't change at all.
- GSuite is FREE for non profits, forever.
- We will do the move for you, for free. We will walk you through the process of setting up your devices for use with the new server, which should only take about 3 minutes per account per device. Logging in will be as simple as entering a username and password. There are no server addresses, no ports, nor IMAP or SMTP settings to enter, the process will be seamless.
- GSuite gives you 30GB of storage capacity per email address. My email service limits you to the total amount of web space you have on your account, most NPOs have less than 2 GB.
- GSuite is compatible with almost all devices and email clients.
To get started you will need to set up and register for a free account at Tech Soup Canada. This organization will validate your Non-Profit status and eligibility for Google for Non-Profits for free. Visit https://www.techsoupcanada.ca/en/user/register to get started.
Once your account has been created and your organization verified please contact me and let me know. We will then start the process of setting up GSuite and moving all email accounts, including messages over to it for you.
Not a fan of Google or Gmail? Microsoft Office 365 is also free for non-profits, though we will not be able to complete the transition for you.
